Semar and the Legacy of Dewi Sri

After her tragic death, Dewi Sri has been taken by Batara Narada and buried in a secret place. Miraculously, wonderful plants and fruits grow from her grave. Semar discovers this bountiful legacy and is entrusted by Batara Guru to deliver it to humankind.

A modern fusion between wayang kulit and wayang orang, the performance is presented by Jagat Gamelan featuring very special guest director and performer Drs. Sunardi from SMKI Yogyakarta, through the support of KBRI London.
