Javanese Gamelan by Jagat Gamelan

This year, Jagat Gamelan Jawa get all nostalgic with a suite of popular songs from Indonesia.From the very early years of school, songs are an important part of Indonesian life, known across the generations.

Here we have a selection of some our favourites: light-hearted, humorous and playful. Ranging from the Rhumba rhythms of Nartosabdho's most popular pieces, to the coquettish "Suwe Ora Jamu" (with an English language version) and then on to some of the most well-known songs from childhood in Indonesia. Come and join in with the singing and revel in the nostalgia!
